Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis Customers Reviews
Left A Lot To Be Desired
Ray’s voice sounded great. That’s about all the positive I can offer for this show. He is not big enough to get by playing random songs from new albums. Play the hits, that is what people go to the shows for. He came off as very arrogant. The venue was beautiful but it was so dark you couldn’t really appreciate it. It was also so dark that it could have been any performer playing on stage, couldn’t see his face at all. Ray also cane off as truly unappreciative of the audience. He never engaged with the audience and only thanked the audience once. It was a very strange atmosphere, the crowd was eerily quiet except after a song concluded, it was very dark and Ray was the least engaging performer I have ever seen live. Again, he does not have a book of hits that can fill an entire set list, so not playing the handful of hits he does have was disappointing and makes me think he is super arrogant.
